Urea phosphate fertilizer manual
In 2005, SQM acquired a urea phosphate plant in Dubai. To be able to answer all questions from SQM colleagues and the distribution network about this new fertilizer, I have written this Urea Phosphate Fertilizer Manual.
Urea phosphate – a unique acid-acting NP fertilizer in powder form
Urea phosphate is a unique, acid-acting NP fertilizer in powder form, especially for application in fertigation and pivot systems in soil-bound crops. The acid effect ensures that the formation of precipitates, such as calcium phosphate and iron phosphate, in drip lines is prevented as much as possible to avoid blockages in the drippers. A clogged dripper means that the plant is dying due to a lack of water and nutrients. Also, a number of nutrients in the soil solution are more available for uptake by the plant when urea phosphate is administered.
